Responsibilities

  • Empowers PMSKD researchers with state-of-the art study design and protocol development, efficient study start-up, expert advice and resources in support of study conduct, and statistical analysis and interpretation of study results

  • Provides state-of-the art resources and technology for data acquisition, management and utilization

  • Promotes clinical research and training in PMSKD by developing, applying, and disseminating advanced epidemiologic, biostatistical, and informatics methods

Functions

  • Provides informatics, data management, and statistical support for PORTICO supported projects

  • Acts as a repository of new knowledge and a central node for planning new research, integrating, processing and analyzing validated data

  • Facilitates interaction between PORTICO investigators and other methodological resources available in the Academic Health Center

Services

  • The MC provides basic functions for PMSKD researchers along with high priority method development in the following areas:

    • Predictive modeling

    • Efficient statistical modeling of high dimensional data

    • Linkage of geocoded address data with small area environmental and socioeconomic data to augment research databases

    • Advanced causal inference methods

    • Efficient integration of clinical, environmental, -omic, imaging, biomonitoring and patient reported outcomes.
